Spring-Loaded Side Open Dead End
Conductor Connectors
The design of this no-bolt dead end clamp reduces the time spent connecting a conductor to a utility pole by eliminating most difficulties encountered during installation.

Features
- The single jaw design allows the conductor to be pulled through the back of the dead end clamp without contacting the jaw. The conductor end can then be fed over or under the pole without interfering with performance.
- The single jaw is directly spring-loaded, avoiding any interference of other components during the initial grip.
- The jaw stays open by means of a spring-type retainer to ensure a positive lock during installation.
- The single leg in back enables the conductor to be laid in, eliminating the need for feeding it through.
- The pulling eye is located on the same centerline as the conductor, allowing installation of the conductor directly into the clamp.
Installation
The conductor can be installed from either side of the utility pole simply by reversing the direction of the opening. A tapered jaw holds the conductor in the clamp. No tightening tools or devices are needed.
Testing
Product has been designed to hold over 95% of the RBS of the following conductors: AAC, AAAC, and ACSR.
